Afgnamedz
Hi, When i upshift from 1st to 2nd it doesn’t go a “good” as the rest of the upshift. Its really hard to describe the feeling. It feels like doesn’t want to go and sometimes it seems to be forced. Like the the noise it makes, as if you try to upshift without the clutch lever. Is anyone else expriencing this? greetingssss
Member Contributer Oregonian Posted May 22, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted May 22, 2020 That sounds normal, especially when the bike is cold. How long since you've changed the gear oil?

Member Contributer Oregonian Posted May 30, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted May 30, 2020 I'd change it and see if that solves the issue. Simple solution if that's all it takes.
GRCTAMPA
Are you preloading the shift lever? Applying pressure to the shift lever ahead of pulling the clutch lever usually makes shifting very smooth. Replacement of clutch fluid is recommended at 19k km so probably worth doing that now. Final drive oil replacement is recommended at 38.4 km but if you are not sure of the maintenance history changing sooner might give you some peace of mind. Good luck and enjoy your ride! Member Contributer FJ12Ryder Posted June 4, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted June 4, 2020 It's not uncommon on many bikes for shifts from 1st to 2nd to not be as smooth as any other gear shifts.
