Ignition question

I had an old wiring loom in a box from a 97 UK model... 6 pin connector. Maybe the 3 pin are non-OEM replacements?

It could be something USA'ish... but the partlist only show the 6 pin.

The wires from the keyed ignition switch that go behind the instrument cluster.

It's not too clear as to wether you're wanting to replace the Ignition Switch or its connector and wiring?

Don't know if this helps, but, according to the Service Manual the Ignition Switch is a 3 wire device. The switch is wired to a 6P plug, however the switch only uses the 3 wires. So if the shown jumper bridge on the 6P plug is not used then you could use a 3P plug or a 6P plug and socket, if this is what you intend to replace?

Another option if you're worried about voltage drop across the conector, you could hard wire the three wires (solder and sleeve or crimp) getting rid of the 6P plug and socket all together.
