Member Contributer Lannyl81 Posted November 25, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted November 25, 2019 Who has a repair kit for the 4th GEN VFRs? I can find kits for earlier years, but not 4th GEN.....although I did find one a few years ago, but have since lost that info. Mine is leaking from the outlet when in the OFF position....not a big problem, but since I have the tank off, might as well fix it.....if I can get a repair kit.... Member Contributer Dutchy Posted December 1, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted December 1, 2019 Do ask them what is included in the kit, just to be sure it will address your leak....
Member Contributer JZH Posted December 16, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted December 16, 2019 A bunch of 0-rings... Just drill out the rivets, tap the holes and buy some o-rings. If it still leaks, buy some different o-rings! I've done this a couple of times, but I don't know where the threads are. Here's one: https://www.vfrdiscussion.com/index.php?/forums/topic/82015-leaky-4th-gen-gas-petcock/ Ciao, JZH

Member Contributer Lannyl81 Posted December 23, 2019 Author Member Contributer Share Posted December 23, 2019 Yeah that is the way to go.....drill-out the rivets and then find new O-rings. Will do. Thanks.
Member Contributer RC36B Posted December 23, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted December 23, 2019 I bought a small bag of used petcocks when when I realised new petcocks were end-of-life. I don't need them all if you need a spare
