Hadi
Hi guys, I'm new to this hopefully I'm doing this right. i have an 86 Kawasaki Vulcan VN750, the frame on it has a lot of scratches, i really don't want to go through the hassle of taking the bike a part and painting it. a thought crossed my mind and i want some opinions on it. I'm thinking about wrapping the whole frame with fiber glass wrap, same wrap i used on my exhaust. what do you guys think ?
Member Contributer Terry Posted September 9, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted September 9, 2019 Just my opinion but I think that would be a Bad Idea. On an exhaust system the wrap gets hot and dries out, but on a frame I'd expect it will trap water and accelerate corrosion.
Member Contributer Marvelicious Posted September 9, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted September 9, 2019 You have a Kawasaki Vulcan and you want to wrap the frame? This seems like a pretty weird place to ask, since this is a forum dedicated to Honda's V4 sport bikes. That said, I'm with Terry!
Member Contributer RDMcD Posted September 10, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted September 10, 2019 Maybe a vinyl wrap would be better?
