Once I test drove it and checked it out we made a deal for $950. mafe out okay for about 45 minutes and suddenly At a light it shuts off on me and won’t start up. After looking it over. I pull the battery and get a new one hoping it solves issues. It starts. Then I notice oil and lots of it. After idling for a few minutes it shuts off and I have a nice mini smoke screen going on. There's plenty of know-how on this site but you will need to give more details so the Collective Wisdom can be applied. I'd have to suggest that an oil leak and stopping and needing a new battery don't sound very connected to me. Are you sure it was oil smoke and not the regulator/rectifier getting toasted?
