skant153
On the way to work this morning I noticed my indicators stopped working. I know the left worked on the first turn but after that, nothing. The running lights are on and the switch turns them off. Any ideas where to start?
Member Contributer Grum Posted July 24, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted July 24, 2019 If you're not getting a blink on either side then it might be the Turn Relay. First check Fuse C hasn't blown, check that you have 12v at the Turn Relay Black/Brown wire and the Green Ground wire at the Turn Relay is properly grounded. Assume all your globes are good and of the correct wattage? Also poor blinker switch contacts will can cause issues.
Member Contributer KevCarver Posted July 25, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted July 25, 2019 Easiest place to start is to spray some electrical contact cleaner into the switch and work it back and forth. Might want to actually take it apart. Signal relay is under the front upper cowl, on the cowl stay. It's a PITA to get to. There's 2 side by side on the right (throttle side), and I am thinking it's the outer one.

StardusterToo
Just did mine - the indicator stopped and the high beams were low only. This worked for me. It's pretty close to the vfr, just keep all the bits in order - there's a lot of pieces!. Cheers.
