Member Contributer Bent Posted April 3, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted April 3, 2019 Time to replace the OEM battery, finally after 5 years. Is it necessary to keep power to the bike to keep from losing data such as mileage, clock time etc, or just yank out the old one a put in the new one? I know on some cars, it's necessary to keep power going through the system. Thanks.
jstehman
I just change out the battery. It's pretty easy to set the clock. It will retain the total mileage. I think the trip meters reset though.Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Member Contributer Dustin Posted April 3, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted April 3, 2019 I wouldn't worry about it. As jstehman says, you'll lose your current Trip A and Trip B and the clock will reset but the rest is fine.
