side stand lean angle?

I feel like the lean angle when on the side stand is still quite upright compared to my other bikes, makes me nervous if parked outside when it's windy, has anyone shortened the oem side stand to help off-set this? I bought a side stand foot awhile back but there's no way to use without the bike being too upright?

Thoughts, ideas, inputs?

Make sure if its windy to park the bike so the tyres are on the windward side and the stand is on the leeward (downwind) parking in gear too.

What kind of angle are you talking about?

On my SP2, the lean angle was "too much" after raising the rear (height adjustable Ohlins) so I had to go the reverse....

fitting a longer side stand.

So Sweeper is right on the money :1:

Place some U-shape shim on part #1 below

Not having a centre stand makes this a bit more involved......

I secured an adjustable side stand from Soupy's (I think).  Nice aluminum job.  Gives me more lean, especially after lowering the bike a bit.  Much better, and a high quality unit.

Any pics?

Always turn the wheel to full lock up hill when parked

Depends what side of the road you ride on & which side you have parked, as to which  way you lock the front wheel !

YMMV 😜
