Member Contributer TriumphTraitor Posted January 29, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted January 29, 2019 I've seen a member swap out an 8th gen hub and rim onto a 6th gen (which looked really solid, but has anyone seen or done a full swingarm swap from an 8th gen to a 6th gen? Member Contributer KevCarver Posted January 29, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted January 29, 2019 Sort of. MiniCarver has a 5th Gen engine in a 6th Gen frame with both ends 8th Gen. Forks and swing arm.
Member Contributer TriumphTraitor Posted January 29, 2019 Author Member Contributer Share Posted January 29, 2019 Interesting. So that means its quite possible to work. Does he have any images on the form?
Member Contributer TheLimey Posted January 29, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted January 29, 2019 It's the same frame. I don't see why it wouldn't just bolt straight in.

The rear cushions swap out on all. Just need to change the swing arm pivot and spacers if you are using 5th Gen engine. 6th and 8th are essentially the same with regard to swing arm length and mounting. I test fitted 8th Gen swing arm with 6th gen rear cushion on my 5th. All fits.
