VFR80025th
I called to find out. In Toronto at Ready Honda powersports: $417.00 Say what...... A little excessive don't you think. Stator gasket is another $27 They have us by the balls if you want OEM. Anybody have any cheaper suggestions for us Canadians.

VFR80025th
Thanks guys. Partzilla has stator for $205 US or $273 Canadian and obviously Ron Ayers is even cheaper by a bit. I guess when I need it I will be ordering from US. Thxs
Member Contributer RDMcD Posted January 24, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted January 24, 2019 My dealer told me the 5th gen is discontinued so I found someone local that rewinds for $ 250. ( Georgetown, Ont) https://www.statorkev.com/ He was easy to deal with and did a nice job. I did a lot of reading and the aftermarket stuff doesn't seem to last. I would go oem or rewind an oem stator.
Member Contributer Lorne Posted January 24, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted January 24, 2019 You could try FortNine, they don't list oem Honda but carry several aftermarket brands. Fwiw, when my dealer here in Victoria replaced mine back in 2015 the stator cost $327.44 and the gasket another $14.75.
Member Contributer Dustin Posted January 26, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted January 26, 2019 I couldn't even get an OEM for my '02 when needed to replace mine last year. I ended up with a Rick's stator and reg/rec from Fortnine instead. Just under 25,000 km on them now.
