thepretender
How well do the exhaust heat shields work. I want to fit some Cortech Super 2 saddle bags on my 6th gen but would touch the heat shields. Do the shields stay cool enough to do this or is it a quick way to kill my brand new bags? Urbanengineer
They get warm, highly recommend a custom bracket so they never touch.
thepretender
I pointed a Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer at the shields with bags attached and temp was 125f so I think it works well enough. I may want to add some more insulation somehow for peace of mind.
