White wheels to go with that RC30 look!

Ja vit. Would match the front guard and fairing nicely - yes white!

Am I the only one to consider that that painting looks so 80's ?

In my opinion it does not fit with the RC79 modern style.

It doesn't look better in those colours, there again they could have chosen better tones, washed out red and insipid blue are not good choices

That's probably just the photograph.  The colours are almost certainly the same as used on the RC30.

I've been wanting to like this paint scheme on the newer VFRs for a long time.

I tried many variations in Photoshop for my 5G, but it just doesn't work.

In this case the old paint scheme that worked so well on the RC30 just doesn't suit the angular lines of the 8G.

Probably why Honda never repeated it on any other new bike.

I have a line on a bodywork+tank for my SP2. So indeed the endurance look is

With a white VFR the paint scheme can easily be done with wrap foil instead of paint.

This is what I did on a ZX6R, tank and front mudguard was silver and fairings green.

Nice effect on that one.

The 8th gen,. muffler itself should be illegal for being so hideous.  Reminds me of one of the reasons I ditched mine.  It alone  makes the bike uglier than any kind of paint job.

They changed cans in '16. I took my aftermarket off and put the stock back on. Riding isn't a beauty contest, and the stock exhaust is nice and peaceful 😄

Lets see ... sharp loud exhaust or cleaner air and less noise pollution. Hmmmm. I guess I choose clean as possible. And I do know that to stand behind my running fifth gen is to smell bad air. And it's big on noise pollution. But I do keep the engine/exhaust stock and would if I bought an eight gen.

Most aftermarket cans are anything but noisy.  Harley has the noise market cornered.
