Member Contributer thtanner Posted September 3, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted September 3, 2018 I am going to start doing my "traditional Palomar Sunday" rides that I used to do. I'll try to post one at least once a month. Is anyone interested in joining? If you are not comfortable with mountain roads, decreasing radius turns, etc, then this may not be the ride for you. You are responsible for your own safety at all times. Route / Plan 1) Meet at Pala Gas Station @ 7:30AM / KSU @ 8AM 2) Ride to up Palomar S6 to Mothers Kitchen. I don't plan to eat here, though. Keep your own pace as we'll wait at the top for everyone. 3) Ride down Palomar S7 to Miner's Diner for brunch in Julian 4) I will return via 79 south through Temecula. From there you can hit the I15 and head home, wherever that may be. You can also split off when we intersect with 76. Time / Temperature / Location 7:30-8:00AM / 77F / Pala Gas 8:45AM-9:15AM / 76F / Mother's Kitchen 10:00AM-11:00AM / 85F / Miner's Diner 12:15PM / 96F / Temecula Note that I do cross-post this ride at OCMOTO, a local forum. Member Contributer Duc2V4 Posted September 4, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted September 4, 2018 Had I not already been assigned to work with CSS this weekend at Streets of Willow, I’d be up for it. That being said, if this is going to be a normal thing, I’m sure I can get on board the next one.

Member Contributer thtanner Posted September 8, 2018 Author Member Contributer Share Posted September 8, 2018 Borrego may be a bit warm so we might head to Julian instead if anyone comes down. 🙂

thepretender
I'm staying at my sisters in Hemet while I wait for my place to close up north but I'm beat from packing up the house so if I can drag myself out of bed and be out the door by 7 I'll join you. No text in morn means i'm still in bed.

Member Contributer thtanner Posted September 9, 2018 Author Member Contributer Share Posted September 9, 2018 It was just us, but boy was it a nice morning on the mountain. Traffic was minimal, and the weather was absolutely stunning for the whole ride!
Member Contributer thtanner Posted September 9, 2018 Author Member Contributer Share Posted September 9, 2018 I was given an action camera to review, so I used this ride to take some footage. It gives a good idea of how nice out it was, at least.
