V4Rid3r
Hi! I liked the fork protectors on my 6th gen, they did a good job protecting the forks from all road debris, so had to put ones on the new RC93... You can get this here: https://www.louis.eu/artikel/fork-protectors-black-pair-pvc/10026885 Install video Cheers, V4 Rider
Member Contributer VARIABLE9 Posted August 10, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted August 10, 2018 Good job. Seems like they could’ve easily transferred the idea to the F, wonder why they didn’t.

Member Contributer Thumbs Posted August 12, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted August 12, 2018 I've been using them for years, they also come in faux carbon fibre, £15 on eBay, held on with cable ties
fatshoutybloke
I tried to fit a pair of Triumph ones very similar but I found they made contact with the oil cooler when the forks were compressed so I went back to the neoprene tube type. V4Rid3r
Not a fan of the looks on the neoprene... The protectors I have just touch a little bit the oil cooler when the steering is turned all way, not a problem because they bent the tip 😉 Cheers V4 Rider
mikeswe
As described in an earlier thread I got the Triumph fork protectors but didn't use them since they hit the oil cooler. Then I decided to modify them so the protector will go on the inside of the cooler, so here's what I did: Cut the protector flush with the clamp upper surface. Trim the lower corners. Try fit in the groove. Sand away the rough surfaces. Clean the contact surfaces before glueing the parts together. Glue the protectors in the clamp groove. To be sure it will hold together I drilled two pairs of small holes and secured the parts together using a thread (it's hard to make glue stick to this type of plastic). Saturate the threads with more glue. Done!
mikeswe
It clears the cooler now but not with much margin. I'm going to check if it's possible to move the cooler forward a bit.
V4Rid3r
Nice job mate! But its easier with the ones I bought from Louis... I also thought on moving the cooler, but never tried.

Another thing I had to do was to twist them outwards a bit to clear the triple clamp bolt.
