My problem is that the locking mechanism is not secure, Even when locked, i can open the case and even lift the handle, something is not right. Anyone have that issue ? Ohlias Posted June 1, 2018 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Never had the smaller box but I have the 45L OEM box on my VFR800 9th gen (2014) and installed everything myself including the lock cylinder. While it is finicky, it shouldn't be doing what you're saying. On the bright side, it's easy to see how the lock is working. It rotates about 45 degrees to lock. You should see the dark coloured slightly bent/ridged locking arm behind the key hole. it should sit flush and under the completed flattened handle. Also, the locking hinge has to grab the top of the case first. Are you doing that? I will try and take some pics when I get back home but there are two hinges or locking mechanisms. One to lock it to the carrier and the other to hold the case closed. Hard for me to describe. Pics will help. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
