Member Contributer Africord Posted April 20, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted April 20, 2018 Last year, I found that my 3BR Powersports Tapp 2 Power Outlet (USB Power) was draining my battery due to parasitic draw. I knew that the answer was to move it to switched power, but I wanted to implement a solution that could overcome relay failure as well as a fuse failure. I"m not an electrical expert, my soldering is pretty sloppy, so I was hoping for plug and play, and a solution that would support other things such as an STS turn signal controller. This is going into my 6th gen.
bitdivision
Do you mean something like this? https://www.nippynormans.com/f650stf650csf650gsf650-dakar/fuzeblock-switchable-fuse-panel I'm not sure what you meant by relay and fuse failure, but I have the above on my bike connected to switched power. You can connect things to either switched or permanent power and everything is fused. I'm very pleased with mine, even if it is a little expensive. Member Contributer Africord Posted May 10, 2018 Author Member Contributer Share Posted May 10, 2018 The only downside to this is that the relay is hard soldered to board. I went with this instead. http://electricalconnection.com/index.php/product/honda-goldwing-power-plate-fuse-block/ and this to cover my grounds http://electricalconnection.com/index.php/product/master-ground-block/
