Halfrider
Hi all, I put this cheap pipe on my naked VFR because I liked its profile, but I don't like the sound, a bit to loud and tinnie So I put on a staintune, love the sound, deep and rumbly........... but its too long. So my question to the collective is, does anyone know of a pipe available with a sound similar to a staintune but shorter/smaller?
keef
Never had a staintune, but I used to have a Scorpion pipe that was pretty deep. I like my MT09 carbon Akra on my 5G, it’s lighter than the Scorpion was.
keef
Scorpion was off a gladius 650. I think.
Halfrider
Cheers keef, I'll keep my eyes open for a scorpion, saw a roo rooter in W.A, being carbon might be able to chop it up. Problem is always going to be with a pipe is that you can't hear what they sound like by looking at it. Quite an elite forum topic?, CF might be more knowledgeable! Halfrider
I thought $50 was not bad price for a fakrapovic exhaust until I saw this little beauty for $25. Hopefully it last at least a week and being fake carbon it fits nicely with the rest of the bike, just a tad small?

Hi Joe, unfortunately I have another project that I think will suit that pipe and postage from Australia may be a killer. I do have a set of these if your interested. Member Contributer JoeAsheville Posted May 7, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted May 7, 2018 Thanks, but only interested in the VFR high mount. Prepared to pay postage if you change your mind. I'm also not trying to get it for nothing...we both know what it's worth. Thanks for the reply...
keef
no pics for me, but ive been getting a bit done. TLR1000 top rad fitted. New brackets and spacers, etc. Left hand TLR fan fitted - I had to drop the coolant overflow a bit lower. Tonight I will drill and tap an earth connection on the in line temp sensor to it will actually turn on the fan when it needs to my CB250 rad shrouds should fit back in place as well. Re soldered the tacho wire since I noticed it was attached by one thread. I stole the Antigrav lithium battery out of the VFR and installed it in my MT09, but I'll be swapping it back when I get a new batt for the MT Its getting closer to actually being rideable.
