I've got about 55,000ks on my second  2014 09.  And I had 20,000ks on my first one. Any questions, just ask.

Mines got redone suspension front and rear, Braided lines, FZ1 master cylinder, bigger 320mm R1 rotors, a flash, quickshifter, akra full system.

and boring stuff like a top box and LED tail/headlights/DRL's/indicators, frame sliders, etc.

Brilliant bikes, you'll enjoy it.

Mine is a brand new 2017. Right now I've got it apart somewhat, wiring up heated grips, TAPPS USB port, hard wired GPS mount. I'm going to go with OEM suspension for now, but later likely upgrade. Did you do a new Penske shock or go with a ZX-10R/ZX-6R part?

Penske rear, and stoltec kit for the front. the 17 has better suspension than the 14 up front, but it still isn't that good.

Suspension is a must on an 09 in my opinion.

A few good guys  on the fz09 forum to choose from in the US. Stoltec moto, forks by matt, and norwest spring to mind.

Nice. I want the XSR. I've never read anything saying the 09 isn't an absolute blast. Next time the Yamaha demo truck comes through, I'm going to try to get on one or the other.

Great minds think alike.

I sold the NC30 in November and bought a 2017 FZ-09.

So far I rode it from the dealer home in the rain. Cant wait for summer!

Nice!  I would have looked at the white, but my V2 ADV is white.

Are you going to SumSum 18?  Riding the Fizzer?

Tony and I checked out Custer and locations for the SumSum 18 last year and I will be going back.

The VFR is for touring. Couldn't imagine touring on anything else.

Have you looked into moving the license plate holder?

I'm good with it for now.  Removing the funky BMW-esque fender would just put a lot of spray up my back I'm afraid.

If I took the FZ I would just trailer out to the event.  Otherwise I'm on the big V-Strom...

How do you like that rear fender?  Does it seem to do the job without too much buzz/rattle?
No buzz and rattle at all...the damn thing is built out of tank armor I'm thinking. Many are removing it to save weight and for perceived looks. Me, I'm ok with it. Hell the bike is only 420 lbs fueled up. Take it off and I've got water and mud spray up my backside...so it's staying for now.

Looking forward to seeing you in Custer Doc.

Hey Terry!  Me too!  Hopefully I'm going to ride out with grizfan and meet up with Axel_7 and his crew in Orofino, ID.  Should be an epic trip.  Hope the little Fizzer will be comfortable enough for the journey.  I still need to get some sort of windscreen fitted and probably some handguards as well...

Yeah, I looked at their stuff. I'm thinking this MRA will give me a little more protection

Added the BarkBuster VPS guards and a Puig Touring screen. Did the pumpkin delete on the rear with some m-Blaze Pin LEDs. Just about ready...
Need some TechSpec tank grip, a Kriega US-20 or similar tail pack, pumpkin delete on the front signals with some m-Blaze Ice LEDs maybe...34e83e9072e2096bb8e073fe3580bd7a.jpgf224c50ff7a45501a71e1fe16329cdd6.jpg6c2a99241bd6b289517f5724b9ca6f78.jpg
