Hello all, recently purchased a 2003 VFR with 8000kms on the clock. It had been sitting a little bit and requires some TLC.

So far I have replaced the tires, brake pads, installed K&N air filter, sourced a new oil pan due to broken mounting tab for right side fairing, replaced the wind screen, bought a vfrness was ( yet to be installed), gave it a thorough cleaning, and just purchased delkevic carbon 8” slip ons.

Now I’m patiently waiting for winter to end so I can enjoy this machine.

Happy new year to all.

Welcome to the asylum neighbor. You have good taste in mc's. And since you are more or less in the neighborhood, consider joining some of us in July for the 4th tri-annual Summer Summit. This year it is in Custer, SD. So come an meet some of your fellow viffers. There are other gatherings throughout the year. Check them out.

And good luck with your new machine.

I've heard that this is an enjoyable route:

https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/44.19088,-79.940648/44.18249,-80.109924/@44.1819423,-80.0927681,12.75z/data=!4m9!4m8!1m5!3m4!1m2!1d-80.1496663!2d44.1818632!3s0x882a5923d2b08e35:0x506da66de122d1f4!1m0!3e0?hl=en

 - the twisty bits North along Prince of Wales around to where the 2nd Line E (heading South) connects with Side Rd 15 is the capper to an enjoyable enscarpment ride for around these parts.

Cheers!

Not so silly of a suggestion. I'm usually game for any new destination. And it's fairly close. It goes on to my list. But that is SumSum4 week so I'm booked this year.
