Member Contributer Skids Posted December 29, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted December 29, 2017 Following on from replacing the c&s here, does anyone know if there is a torque value for the 6 nuts that hold the rear sprocket on (2015 VFR800X)? I can't find any mention in the service manual, and having done this several times previously on both my 5th & 6th Gens, I'm guessing I just hand-tightened them. Just wanted to check. Member Contributer Terry Posted December 29, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted December 29, 2017 I don't have the manual for the X, but the 2014 VFR800F specifies 64N-m for the rear sprocket nuts.

Thanks m8, what page is that on please? I thought I had scoured the manual but clearly not well enough. I don't have a manual for the X but as the F and X are identical in many ways, the F manual suffices. edit: Doh! Just went to look and now it stands out....Driven sprocket nut.....6......64Nm...... Auspanglish
Skids, there's a few pages towards the beginning of the VFR manuals that are dedicated exclusively to torque values on nuts and bolts over the entire bike.

Yes, I was looking there, just didn't see the "Driven Sprocket" bit.
