16chaywood
Hey my bike has been running lean, it has a two brother slip on exhaust without the stage 1 jetting, I don't want to mess with the air fuel mixture and carbs. I ordered a uni air filter, spark plugs, and i'm thinking about changing exhausts. Would that help? I know there are exhausts where you don't have to me with the carbs. Any recommendations? And better faster options? Anything will help Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Member Contributer JZH Posted October 9, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted October 9, 2017 A UNI filter would probably flow more air than OEM, which, combined with the free-flowing slip-on exhaust, would tend to result in a lean-running condition (absent any carb jetting changes). It might run okay with an OEM paper air filter, but I think TBR always recommended re-jetting anyway. By far the "best" solution would be to get the carbs re-jetted to suit the TBR and the air filter you're going to use, but finding someone who can do this without a "jet kit" would probably be difficult, because it requires finding someone who knows what they're doing!
