StormShadow3
So had a little ride tis week, first week of the school holidays, usually ride up to see my daughter in port macquarie. rode up the highway this time instead of the putty, the highway sux, then up the thunderbolts, but decided to go have a look at Lime burners creek Camp ground, just 6km off road. cant be too bad right. Well, the road started off ok, im use to riding on dirt roads., then it got worse, ruts, from cars getting stuck, then deep craters of ruts, to the point people made their own tracks around the craters. a few of them were muddy towards the end. i got half way their and thought im half way their i might as well keep going. i got their, and it looked like rain. and thought if i camp here, and it rains, i am not going to get out of this road when its wet. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fplaylist%3Flist%3DPLhGfDF-hvrnCp0-mEnoWSCn_qIBtUCgWx&h=ATON0eXGLp-s-LSTGhIQ-ZksOuFtN-CywSgufUGp1aXTsxdFmRvEnaRgMB_NPEGO1tOy-R3-LHHuzQ90kxaYLxUxhXqQFJozXggH1GxNToZm9n5jwQGqafZHMOZB1mrkm1bgpLouIOek Ended up camping at the old faithful bretti reserve camp ground just north of gloucester. usual school holiday caravan circle tho. followed a red vfr800 in, then it disappeared. found a camp site next to the bins, so set up my 2 man tent this time instead of my bivi, nice dehydrated meal, but some old guy kept coming over and talking to me, as well as every kid in the park on their bicycle. Stormed that night, lot of bush fires around the place. The next day, i kept riding, trees were down across the road, and leaf litter covered the roads. the oxley wasnt much fun, as every corner was covered in leaves, and occasionally half a tree sticking into the lane. but even tho i said id take it easy, i still felt the pegs touch down lol. spent a week in a motel room with my daughter, 10 year old now, and i brought her her own cordura jacket, and pants, mx gloves, and she had a good week being pillion, didn't ride to far, just around town. i did ride just out of town down the highway to a winery and hedge maze. 80 in a 110 zone and the police pulled me over and spoke to me about the zip ties on the edges of my number plate cover, it had wiggled across and started to cover the edge of a number. had to cut them off, and the cover too. the way home, i was going to ride up the oxley and down the thunder bolts way again, but, was a little emotional, stayed on the highway. i saw a police car every 2.5 minutes. double demerit points. speed zones everywhere, cars everywhere, grid locked a few times, where i had to ride around the outside of the traffic jams. mostly, because on ramps and idiots who cant drive. but, it took me 1 day, instead of 2 days, this way. bike ran fine, no dramas, after putting a new stator and regulator in it last week.
