Member Contributer auggius Posted August 10, 2017 Author Member Contributer Share Posted August 10, 2017 Update.... I got the left front header off by rotating it until it loosened enough to pull free. It took a while along with a few gentle taps with a hammer. Member Contributer auggius Posted August 11, 2017 Author Member Contributer Share Posted August 11, 2017 I had to order new cylinder studs and nuts from Ron Ayers in the US. No availability in Canada until Sept/Oct.
Member Contributer JZH Posted August 11, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted August 11, 2017 I've purchased a few sets of stainless steel studs from Hong Kong via eBay. Stainless has got to be better than the "seize or break" OEM mild steel studs, hasn't it? Ciao,
Member Contributer auggius Posted August 12, 2017 Author Member Contributer Share Posted August 12, 2017 Maybe, but I'm not an eBayer. OEM will do. I don't expect to have to do this repair again.

It's stuck and I can't get enough room ot leverage to twist it and break the connection. ARRGGHH!
