Clutch/Brake Reservoir RAM Mount

Has anyone tried to mount a RAM-B-345U or 346U on their VFRs? The compatibility list doesn't show the VFR but they look like they should fit. This could well be a solution for me to mount a camera on my Crossrunner.

The one on the right (346U) will fit my ST1300 and VFRs, and it looks like the 2014 VFR800 uses the same brake and clutch reservoirs.  That mount is not much of a looker, though...  I'm sure I've seen nicer aftermarket RAM adapters made for ST1300s, though.

I thought they looked the same too.

 

I've had a chat with Bob Telfer of Telferizer fame and he recommends NOT using the small screws on the reservoir top to hold the camera - it wasn't designed for that. Instead, I'm going to go for the RAM-B-309-1 instead.
