Lint
Hi, It's been forever and six minutes since I've been anywhere on this site. I'm currently fixing up a 1999 and slowly fixing/replacing/cleaning things as needed. The other day I was looking at the on off switch and it got me thinking. Has anyone come up with a way of restoring that? Mine is just faded some and I'd like to make it look newer. I'm open to ideas, as I'll also look into it today to see what I can come up with. Thanks
Member Contributer Woodie Posted May 10, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted May 10, 2017 Assuming you can get the red part of the switch out. Try rubbing down with very fine Wet-n-dry (2000grit) and then polishing with a plastic polishing compound like Xerapol.

Member Contributer JZH Posted May 10, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted May 10, 2017 You mean the kill switch on the RHS switch pod? Not sold separately. Some (dis)assembly required. eBay is your friend. YMMV. Buy one from someplace where there's no sun. Like the UK. No sun-fading here... (Or from Honda, but that's cheating.) Ciao,
