I got a set for my VTec last spring and like them a lot. The lack of tread grooves was disconcerting but not noticeable even on damp roads. Steering was a little heavier than remembered with PP3 or 2CT, I assume due to the rounder front profile. Lifespan looks to be better - 7300 km so far (most during last years trek to Monterey). No I had not considered using those. I have 0 miles on the PP3’s so I can’t comment.

Veefer800Canuck
PAIR valve elimination, totally removed all PAIR components, not just plugged off.
Veefer800Canuck
So while I had the airbox off to do the PAIR removal, I thought I’d go the extra mile and pull the injectors, due to the fact that my fuel system was so gacked up from being parked for 10 years by the PO. (BADLY rusted fuel tank) Three injectors came out fine, but the rear injector on the front cylinder left some crumbly black debris on the throttle body when it came off. Looking closely at the injector, what remained of the OEM bottom seal was destroyed, and it looks like someone put a generic O-ring on there which is smaller than the others, also, the remaining 3 appear to be square in profile and not round. Boy am I glad I removed all of this stuff and checked!!! Next stop: professional injector cleaning and new seals.

Veefer800Canuck
Fuel injectors are being returned from RC fuel injection after being serviced. Some of you who who are old, like me, will remember Russ Collins the drag racer. Well, he’s passed now, but his company lives on.

It must have been quite a feat of engineering to tie those 3 motors together and run all the power and torque through a gearbox that could take it. RC did a great job for me on both my bikes and cars. I'd definitely use them again.
Member Contributer RC1237V Posted March 19, 2018 Member Contributer Share Posted March 19, 2018 Just watched the "crappy video" and it looks like the bike is coming along nicely! Also, if you turn it up, I swear I can hear Pink Floyd playing in the background - good stuff! I am also realizing with the bad case of MBD I have, I all of a sudden cannot afford to upgrade my bikes, as I am just having enough free time and money to maintain all of them..... Is that because you didn't trust that the interior corrosion could be sorted, or did you find a tidy replacement for a fair price?

Lorne, I’m trying to clean the tank, I did a vinegar and nuts/bolts wash and shake, over the course of a week, changing the vinegar out every 2 days. I rinsed the tank probably 12x with water after that and I’ve gotten the majority of the rust out. Im going to use the tank coating kit I got with the bike next, using all 3 steps now that the tank is 97% rust free. The brand new OEM tank is coming from Japan, I just don’t know when. Once the new tank arrives, I’ll be selling the old one off to help offset the cost.
