From RC36 to RC51

nothing really special to look out for. Remember that SP1 and SP2 are different (exhaust, swingarm, head bearings, subframe, injectors).

 

also, it is almost a must to have the suspension done, as stock set up is weak. It is about as electrically sound as a 5th Gen, but is easily sorted. Be prepared to pay a bunch if it needs exhaust. Also, it handles much nicer with a 190/55 instead of stock size of 190/50 (but the 55 is the most expensive size). If you get an early SP1, look on the engine cases near the swingarm mount for the mechanic who assembled the engine's signature.

Mines started to give me the $hits this morning.

Bit of surging and stalling when rolling off the throttle.

Starts back up though... eventually got home :mad:

It's a no brainer.  Buy it.  It's easy to spend other people's money especially when they ask what you would do......

128mph?

 

My 4th gen would do 239kmh (prolonged gps reading on Autobahn). That is 149mph...

 

Am sure the RC51 will be even quicker..

One that has a 90 and 07 VFR and a 2000 and a 06 RC thats what kind of buffoon!.  Wouldn't get rid of any of them.  Love both style of bikes!!
