Member Contributer Bent Posted March 25, 2016 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 25, 2016 I believe there is a member or two on here in the petroleum industry who can confirm that it is actually more expensive to produce E10 from the refinery than pure gas. I can validate that statement. My family lived off of oil and gas royalties and I've worked in the industry, up and down-stream. As I said, ethanol in gas is the biggest welfare, price control, scam the government has ever pulled. That statement has been validated to me by an Iowa farmer that used to work for me that had no problem telling me what the govt. paid him to plant and not plant. BTU's in the making and using of ethanol is just physics and a matter of record. As far as which is "best" for an engine, I have no idea and don't care because none of us have any control of the whole issue other than voting and not everyone here does that.
