Member Contributer MaxSwell Posted July 22, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted July 22, 2016 I made it to Nelson about noonish and have a bunk at the Dancing Bear for tonight. Fabulous riding from Missoula MT on MT200, camped at a beautiful campsite on Bull Lake Tuesday and stayed at Robbinson Lake Campground last night. (No need to go to Coeur d'Alene.) Made Nelson and checked in to Dancing Bear. Nice place, lousy parking lot - loose gravel. See Y'all tomorrow. Terry
Member Contributer 34468Randy Posted July 22, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted July 22, 2016 I think I am all packed and ready to head out in the morning. Seems there will only be two of us departing from TH kickstands up at 09:00. We could see a drizzle for part of the ride. Which reminds me. Treat visor with Rainex. Been a while for that.

superfunkomatic
Hi all, Great to see y'all last night. Don't forget breakfast at the Hume Hotel at 9am today ($15/person including gratuity). Name tags, t-shirts, small gift bags for each participant. We can also organize groups and routes for riding. I've made a few suggestions earlier and on the main post. Looks like much better weather today. When we're done breakfast maybe we can assemble at the Welcome to Nelson sign for a group pic.
Member Contributer didit Posted July 23, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted July 23, 2016 Road through ALL the rain Fri to get here. New tires mounted and ready to be scrubbed in. Great parking lot time last night seeing old familiar faces. Mike's Place pub was packed and good grub. Morning coffee with the crew and getting ready for an easy day ride. WARNING TO ALL: between Salmo, Nelson, Kaslo and New Denver there are a TON of cops on patrol. Watch your speed and avoid the souvenirs.
Member Contributer didit Posted July 23, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted July 23, 2016 Had great day ride, threaded the needle through the rain clouds, getting just enough to clean the visor. Stopped in at Pilot Bay lighthouse after departing the ferry. Broke in the new tires and they feel Marvelous! Looking forward to tonight.
