White wheels normally look sh1te IMO but those don't look too bad.

And you haven't got a top box..

The Dutch jury is still out on them white rims. I think mostly because of the spokes/design................    But then again, they voted in favor of a top box!

And just as one should not wear the same shoes day in day out, I jumped on the opportunity to buy a specific new lid....

The weather is -still- holding, 24C...

But in preparation for "dreich 2.0", put a coating of ACF-50 on her metal parts (sans the rotors of course).

Done the math, it should be possible to do 3 legs of my commute. Mainly motorway (110-150kmh).

Well........

I made it, albeit with the petrol station in sight, the engine DID stop so I coasted the last 100 metres

261km

Could have "dripped in" perhaps another 0.25 litre; tank holds 16.5 in theory

I think you managed to get in more than the manual says possible. 15.5 litres for an 86.

Best I ever managed before I wimped out was  234.2 km and it took 13.4 litres to refill.

What's a litre between friends. This is from my PDF US manual which will be for the half faired variant so could be different to the F2. My Euro (green cover) F/F2 manual claims it is 15 litres! So even Honda don't know.

Life is a wee bit nippy at 3C @160KmH....

So my 25+ year old gear mountaineering gear (the elastic "pull"cord crumbled) came in "handy"

Finding the limitations of the heated grips? I thought you would be in the car by now anyway. Poor VF, there can't be too many left being treated to such hardship.

As long as there is no road salt, she will pull her (and my) weight..... :goofy:

The limitations are my (older) winter gloves and my inability to locate my 12V Powerlet inner gloves.  "I put them in a VERY special place................   somewhere....).

The Oxford grips get uncomfortably hot at 80% power on my palms.  It is them finger tips that after 45 minutes of motorway blasting are paying the price for my core temps dropping.

And I flat out refuse to ride a K1600LT!!!
