The bra is for a 5th gen, but I'm not picky.

Dutchy, please tell me about that tank cover. It could be just what I need for a restoration.

Thanks in advance pal.

It is made by a Frech company called Bagster

https://bagster.com/TANKCOVER/?langue=FR&p=1&model=&id=&ref=

The part # for the 5th gen  is 1355A

They do come up 2nd hand occasionally (like mine); I will keep you in mind my friend...

I have one for my SP2 as well

Dutchy, thanks for the link. Is there a way to see that site in english? I do not read Dutch, or whatever language it is.

And I would consider used if it is in good condition. The tank I have in mind is on my 2nd deer-crashed machine. When the bastage slammed into my left leg it put a huge dent in the left side of the tank.

5th generation bagster fits your 4th generation bike? Would it also fit a 3rd gen? They pop up on ebay but in every bike model in the world. I'd guess the gas cap location would be a pretty important, even for a bargain used bagster.

Soooooooo, also possibly not? 🙂 I've been keeping my eyes open for a cheap used 3rd gen bagster. I have one on the cbr. It looks good, protects the tank and is handy with the tank bag. But since they are cut specifically by the shape of your gas tank, you have to be pretty careful of substitutes. No worries. It's not an urgent accessory. But as it happens, I may have got a line on one anyway. Maybe...

I might see some 3rd Gens this saturday, will see what is what...

As it happens, a proper 3rd generation bagster tank cover has magically appeared from the UK in my mailbox. So I'm good for now. Just the same, if you do stumble onto any treasures...

🙂

No he does not.

Peter believes a white patch on his ST1100's rear tire was bird shit.  It was in fact cords showing on a bald tire.....

I will keep an eye on things :goofy::wheel:

My niece is now motivated to get her full "A" licence....  Her A2 limits her to 35Kw...

The VFR is double that.

After all your beautiful work and you'll now get to witness the bike being neglected too! You must love your brother a lot. 🙂 Maybe your niece will do right by it when she takes possession...

You Dutch sure know how to live it up and annoy the neighbors with your crazy antics.

By the way, does that bike qualify for the "bromfiets" paths?

Ciao,
