Member Contributer MaxSwell Posted May 1, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted May 1, 2020 Simply Wow! What a fabulous restoration of what seem to me to be an extremely obscure motorcycle. I'll bet you'll never see one of these comming at you on any random ride. Congrats. What's it like to ride?

Not tagged, I am not allowed to ride it atm. That youtube ride btw is FAKE NEWS (taking a leaf from Donald) 🙂 Theoretically , the suspension actually works (friction damping) but drum brakes are frighteningly inadequate..... I will service them next to see if new brake shoes are called for. Or maybe I am spoiled by the NISSINS in my SP2

Member Contributer Dutchy Posted May 9, 2020 Author Member Contributer Share Posted May 9, 2020 New Interceptor motorbike pickup today!! No not mine, the prior owner (Albert) of my Gilera bought a new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. And asked if I could pick him up from his home and drive him to the dealer 1+ hour away. Sure, no problem. A friend of his met up there for the ride home. His friend 72yrs old, riding a Multistrada.... Albert is 82..... Selamat jalang!!!

Member Contributer Dutchy Posted May 10, 2020 Author Member Contributer Share Posted May 10, 2020 Footpeg needs a new peg "turned", luckily I know a man that can And "thank Rutte" (our PM), we have an intelligent lockdown, so we can go out. @Skids Posted before, but since we had VE Day.... https://www.tracesofwar.com/sights/1750/Memorial-Halifax-bomber-Jaarsveld.htm Coffee and cake "to go" The sky is the limit....
Member Contributer Mohawk Posted May 10, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted May 10, 2020 Great shot on the bridge. Good use of the lockdown 👍 I consider bike riding to be essential & thus my riding is in compliance with the UK gov advice. Plus I’ve had the virus, so consider myself immune for a bit.

Member Contributer Dutchy Posted May 12, 2020 Author Member Contributer Share Posted May 12, 2020 Fruitful day at the ranch.... Before committing to repaired the broken clutch tab, I want to hook the engine up to battery & coil to see if this engine will run Next job, brakes. Found them woefully inadequate, so took them out and apart Front Rear Hover Gilera!!! Brought the drums to a specialist that will do a check on "inner roundness" and put new, softer, "race" lining on. I gladly trade longlevity for performance here.
