Member Contributer Polarbear Posted February 21, 2019 Member Contributer Share Posted February 21, 2019 Beautiful pictures as always! I also really like the farm house in one of the previous pics above. Very “pittoresque”. And peaceful. That reminds me, I need a new battery for the VFR. My trickle charger does not even turn on when i plug it in. Must be past beyond toast... sigh. :-) it also needs regular tlc. As soon as the snow clears... Member Contributer Dutchy Posted March 2, 2019 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 2, 2019 nah, just perspective. That dyke is at least 20 feet high. Each shelter could harbor some 10-12 soldiers That dyke is still a critical part of our defense against high water should the be a breakage elsewhere. If need be, the motorway will be closed with sliding doors

Member Contributer Dutchy Posted March 15, 2019 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 15, 2019 Measuring 15.1V at the battery, the 33yr/75,000km OEM RR maybe on its way out. But before investj g in a MOSFET one, let's see what reading I get from thus cheapy from China
Member Contributer Dutchy Posted March 16, 2019 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 16, 2019 OK, it was cheap, but the "bolt holes" are not the same/not "sunk". Need longer bolts to start with, but with the bolt head rinding on top, it reduces the clearance to the rear shock's spring. Still ok though.. Wires are "a wee bit" longer.... So while they advertise it as a replamenent for the VF500F, it comes with a few buts.... Output though is now a steady 14.5Vdc
