I doubt there's clearance, but you could clamp to the cross-bar.

Ciao,

The fairing stay bar is ripe for U-bolt RAM attachments.  One for GPS.  One for radar.  A drink holder mount up there would be an instant touring upgrade!

Aye, looks darker then the Glenfarclas in my cabinet.

That's why I am happy that the Speedbleeders from wiremybike came in...

Ooouuurrr... Hate those sodding things, personally.  Someone must make nice, machined clamshells into which a RAM ball can be installed.  Whoops, thread-jack...

A friendly SP'er in NL sent me a bit of white vinyl.

Me happy (although there is a tad color difference and I could problably cut it even finer; plenty material left)

Looks good, can't wait to see it out in the wild! It is the first known crash survivor! :D

Installed the cover on the engine...

Did the scary bit... Cutting the fairing bits looks OK from the side.....IMG_0796.JPG

Still want to change the covers a bit.. The "from the side look in" doesn't satisfy me yet..

But it does have the bling factor....

Looking good!

Salvage complete!!!

Stopped by the mechanic today to discuss going +2 up on the rear sprocket and long and behold, they were already fettling her... hussy...

IMAG6267.jpg

Checked that there will be enough "room" for it; the 190/55 is larger (it now has a 190/50) and a larger sprocket mean moving the wheel back a bit.

As the chain+sprocket set is on for 3k miles, we'll just put in a new sprocket alone.  front sprocket will stay as is, it will want to wheelie enough as is thank you..

The oil in the Ohlins was sticky, so that was well due

Good thing they do a lot with Ohlins so a replacement spring was already available.

cos this looks like shyte

IMAG6262.jpg

The pre-load adjuster only "did something" near the end of rotations, so that will be services as well

New shoes for the old girl

John then showed me some really nice Galespeed stuff "that would be nice"...

Radial brake/clutch pump+levers and oh yes, rims....   but at 2k I will give them a miss....

You are sure busy Dutchy! was thinking if its a bit off topic to have the SP2 in this section, but as the section description says "First and Second Generation VFR's, VF, RVF, and exotics" I guess the SP2 class as exotics
