Member Contributer burnes45 Posted June 5, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted June 5, 2015 My 1st time Killboy picture. Novice rider group here. Still can't wipe the grin off my face. Lots of talented riders! Learned a lot by following "Ironman" 1st day and "Mr Bill" and "Finally" 2nd day. Can not say enough how much I appreciate you guys taking your precious fun time to ride and spend it leading us new guys at what must seem like crawling to you, But at the edge of my modest riding skills. Cross one off the bucket list! Can't wait to do again next year. Thanks again.

timmythecop
some things I learned by taking ONLY my RC51: I really missed my VFR. Felt like cheating on yer wife........... The VFR is very comfy I thought VFR brakes were as good as RC51. I was wrong. Stock RC51 seat is just as comfy as my VFR Sargent seat (strange but true) Are the VFR pegs REALLY that low? Hard bags are the most useful farkle in the milkyway. The VFR motor is extremely flexible. A 1/6 turn throttle, snatchy fuel injection and super tall gearing make for zero confidence in the rain. I never expect to out-ride my VFR. I REALLY NEVER EVER EVER NEVER will come close on the RC51. Throttlemeisters are your friend. I really felt bad for my VFR and this trip without it made me firmly commit to giving it a lot of love over the winter. You all will not recognize it next TMac. It will finally show how much I love that bike !!

SEBSPEED
Seb, I didn't think to ask, does a bike need blinkers to be street legal? If it came from the factory with blinkers, then they are required. Mine did, and I do have front and rear signals. The rears are led strips tucked up in the tail. Those that rode with me are free to comment on how well, or not well, they worked...
