Member Contributer deltaboxii Posted December 30, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted December 30, 2014 Has anyone installed a quickshifter on a 5th gen? I have a PCIII and would like to add a QS. My Daytona 675 track bike has one and I love it. I believe its an HM. I emailed them to see what they say but was curious with all the brainpower here what people have come up with. Member Contributer deltaboxii Posted December 30, 2014 Author Member Contributer Share Posted December 30, 2014 So far this is all that I have found http://www.ebay.com/itm/271336089311 I contacted them and they say that it should work...always afraid of the "should" word. CandyRedRC46
Hope you either have rear sets or are planning to do a linear travel setup. And looking at that quick shifter, its not a linear travel setup... And no one makes rear sets for the fifth gen... Hmmm Look into a linear travel set up, someone just successfully installed one on a vfr800 a few weeks ago on here.
Member Contributer Mohawk Posted December 31, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted December 31, 2014 I'm working on one at the moment using a Hall effect sensor connected to a Rapid Bike module. It will work with a PC3 too ;) Bikes stripped for the winter so may be a couple of months. The PC3 supports fuel cut QS, you just need a trigger & the Hall effect sensor is the best way of doing this, it's better than load cell based sensors, which most shift rod systems use, but they have moving parts & wear out as do the sensors. Watch this space ;)
