No Low Beam

I was driving home the other day on my Y2K VFR, near dusk and flashed my high beams to let a car know I was there. When I pulled into my garage I noticed no low beams, I took the switch appart and cleaned it with CRC electronic parts cleaner, still no low beams. Any ideas. Both lights come on fine in high beam.

Thanks in advance

No haven't got the multimeter out yet.

Are the low and high beams on different fuses?

Really didn't want to take the cowl off but I guess that's the next step.

Seems odd that both the low beams would burn out at the same time.

Ultimately, you'll need to determine where the electricity stops flowing... That will be the culprit. Switch, relay, bulb, harness...

oh god, electrical problems are the most hated by everyone.

had a turnsignal once not working on my first bike, turned out a wire inside the turnsignal itself was loose :comp13:

Well it was simple, need two new bulbs. Had one and I now have one low beam waiting till tomarrow to get another. Ended up taking the cowl off to make the change easier.

Thanks
