VFROr
Ducati Chic Mt. St. Helens. Its gotta be summer, FS25 is open But you can't get some Windy Ridge, not yet FS25 chicken strip terminators FS25 sphincter clenching pavement irregularities. Often in the apex, in the shade etc. Temper enthusiasm accordingly. Get some happy face

choco
Love that road but it's been deteriorating more and more every year. That gap looks real bad, a tire eater. Hope they work on it soon. Thanks for pics.

Thanks for pics. Welcome for the pics, it can be a dangerous ride even without the pavement damage. I"ve seen more than a couple of fatalities over the years, something I keep in mind when deciding on appropriate pace. But, it is a pantload of fun so I make several trips every year. Here's a video from a few years ago, just the upper half of Windy Ridge. https://vimeo.com/6348137

VFROr
You made me want to ride my VFR so baaaaaadd.... Haha thanks Horse, I wanted to ride again too, so I headed back up to Mt. St. Helens again today. Nothing but blue sky and 80 degrees...perfect Made it about 100 miles to just about where the good stuff starts, and my bike flat out died. Fortunately I happened to be at the only Ranger station around and just coasted in to their parking lot. The FI light was blinking continually and no start. Took a look at main fuse "A"m first, since that f-ing thing had burnt up on me once, seemed ok though. Then checked around the reg/rec, didn't take long to find a crispy connector. Cleaned it up and continuity tested, tested ok. Didn't fix the code and bike still wouldn't start. Went back to battery area and checked main fuse "B". I forgot it melted before and I had replaced it with a waterproof fuse holder. Behold, the real problem. Fortunately I still had my "FURHness" fuse holder I assembled way back when I experienced my first "you ain't goin' nowhere, beeotch" episode. http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/59617-07s-arent-immune/page-2 Spliced in the new fuse "B" block and headed home, no worries. I've got some fixin' to do before vacation in a couple of weeks.
VietHorse
Oh, that looks bad. Didn't you notice with its smell, did you? Though I gotta bring some spare fuses along the ride.

Not a bad idea to carry fuses, wire, wire cutter/strippers, wire connectors e.g. butt splices, pliers to crimp, fuse hoder, a little can of WD40... Hot lava ? Been there done that !! Sorry !! Shockingly, that one still worked I went through the wiring and cleaned/crimped/tightened a bunch of stuff this spring, but missed everything that failed today. Just glad it all crapped out before I got a thousand miles from home in BF Egypt on vacation
