Two Brothers just joined the list of available slip-on systems...

http://www.twobros.com/sku/005-4030405/exhaust/HON-VFR800-INTERCEPTOR-S1R-SO-14.html

Just ordered one... we'll see how fast it arrives :)

No intention to fit panniers to your 8th Gen?

How are those two things related?

someone needs to make a high mount that works with the luggage, or an underseat.

This shouldn't be a riddle or a complex physics equation to solve.

Two solid objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

Look to some of the 7th gen exhaust solutions as Honda have determined that saving weight and improving the mass centralization for better handling, braking and mileage is their way forward.

If I were dreaming of an exhaust it would either be dual outlet (front underslung - rear underseat) or single outlet underslung. I love the Ducati Panigale exhaust but it seems that packaging that on the VFR would result in cruiser-like ground clearance issues.

Second choice after Panigale exhaust is current Honda MotoGP exhaust. :-)

I mean, while we are dreaming of high mounts that allow the Honda bags to mount I can dream of those two beauties.

Looks as good as any other and the TBR dyno chart shows almost a 5HP gain with no loss of power below Vtec engagement.

Stock went from 95.06 to 99.99...very nice for just a can albeit slightly more than $120/hp

Look on the link. All will be revealed...

I had already looked at the link and read the instructions. I am guessing you are going to say that the exhaust won't work with the saddle bags?

Hope your employment doesn't hinge on reading documents…. Look at the four pictures, then open the tabs marked "instructions" & "Instructions Saddle Bags"

Did you order direct from them? I'm going to order one up soon. I figured I would give them a call on Tuesday to see what their eta is and if we have to re-map or just bolt it on and go.

Then toss out the instructions and figure out how to make it work, as was done with the 5th gen 15 years ago...

I wonder how many ponies a performance header plus slip-on would unleash. ...

Two different systems with different mufflers, hangers & link pipes. Why TwoBros didn't do as you say & figure out how to make it work with & without panniers has me stumped

They called me Friday (ordered direct.) They have pipes, but no mid-pipes... he said it should ship to my house in 1.5 to 2 weeks. Forgot to ask about a re-map... let me know if you find out please!

I talked with Greg @2Bros today. He sais these newer bikes should be good without a re-map. I got the same answer from Akra today. I'm waiting for my local dealer to get the 2Bros in. 20% off. If it takes more than two weeks, I'll order direct though.

I wonder if the PC5 from a 6th gen will plug into this bike, ie is the wiring harness similar?

I have no idea. I can take a pic of the harness...if I knew where to look. I'm assuming under one of the seats. lol

I am waiting to hear back from Power Commander to hear if/ when they will have something available.

I am fairly certain it won't work. I spoke with someone at PowerCommander weeks ago and they stated that they would have a new model for this bike within 6 months (and that was about a month ago.) When I raised the tank to replace the filter with a K&N, I didn't see the familiar connectors that you find on the 6th gen.

Arrow Proracing exhaust arrived earlier this week, fitted it last night and had a little ride around with it on today.

First impressions are good. It's improved the looks a LOT but it's not had a huge effect on the volume, so it's a little bit louder, but not much (with the baffle in - with it out it's a different story). What it has done though is given the bike a deeper, more pleasing tone, which is especially noticeable at tickover and in the low revs - so it sounds less like a sewing machine and more like a V4 should do.

Will post some pics (before/after) and hopefully a video soon

I have to think about whether I want to change my exhaust, I dont want it too loud, I enjoy riding at night, and not waking my neighbors up when I come home from work. Ill have to see and hear an akropovic on one first, the Dam slip on looks the best so far, have to hear one of them to.
