Member Contributer JZH Posted April 16, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted April 16, 2014 TBR wasn't always concerned with performance. I recall they once stated that their NC30 exhaust (for they did indeed once manufacture such a thing) was designed with "cosmetic" considerations in mind... With their VFR full exhausts, I suppose they figured the exact configuration didn't make much of a difference, so it wasn't worth the R&D. Are you implying the 180 degree VFR engines work better with a certain 2-1 configuration? If so can you let me in on the secret? No, but if you manufacture two different systems for the same bike with the pipes paired differently, simply because it is easier to make it exit to the left or to the right, at least one of those designs is not likely to be ideal. As nobody's seriously raced a 180-degree engine'd VFR (assuming the RC45 was 360-degree?) I'd have to guess that Honda's OEM pairing was probably the best. SEBSPEED
I really like the look of that 3/4 Yosh system I might know of one that's for sale, if you're REALLY liking the look...
