Member Contributer KevCarver Posted June 14, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted June 14, 2015 I did about 315 miles today and it was pretty hot ambient. They survived! Had them on "high" all day.
Member Contributer KevCarver Posted September 6, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted September 6, 2016 Back from the dead! I have recently been doing some dark road night time riding, and as luck would have it back to back with my '99 with Lifetime LED and a stock '00. I find the stock light really unappealing now that I'm used to the crisp lights of the LEDs. Even just seeing the turn signal dash lights do the normal incandescent fade in - fade out is annoying to me. Ironically, the Y2K had a headlight switch issue and would not give me low beams. Riding home yesterday on high beams, not one person flashed me and I didn't like the light output near as much as my '99 with LEDs. They are good on low, and even better on high when no one is around and no streetlights. The light output is nice crisp white, with essentially the same pattern as stock incandescents. Also not getting any flashers when I'm on low beam, so they must be ok to other drivers. If anyone is wondering what this old thread is about, well you have about 16 pages to check out! Bottom line, I still like my Lifetime LED H4 replacements!
