Here are a few photos. Tried to do a better job this year at getting pictures of everyone that showed up but there was just too many people to meet and too many good conversations going on. If I missed you in the pictures it was not intentional. I will try to get you next year.

A few people having breakfast at Scooter's and hanging out on the patio.

Here are some of the bikes that were there. When you look at the white 6th Gen take a look at what is hiding behind the cowl vent. Can someone say "Toro". I also saw my first Sebspeed clear clutch cover in person, it is amazing. Since the 1200 clutch case is completely In the open, I think this would be a good candidate for one of them. I missed getting pictures of some of the bikes, again, sorry if I missed yours.

Here are some pictures from the sight seeing group. Not many takers for this group but not a bad thing. I kept an eye in my mirrors to make sure how the group was doing and they were tucked right in behind me. So we wicked it up a little and they were still there. By the time we got done I probably should have said this was an intermediate group. Everyone rode their own pace and I just adjusted my speed to match theirs. These are from the Arkansas Grand Canyon look out, Peel Ferry, and Boxley, I think, valley.

My turn.

I was a horrid person and just didn't get many pictures, or ANY video. I was having too much fun riding and talking to pay attention.

But here's what I DO have.

Friday morning 123 and Push Mountain run.

Pre-ride:

gallery_23869_7018_799383.jpg

After running 123, you have to take a break and shoot the breeze. 123 is dubbed the "Arkansas Dragon". There are about 10 turns with the ability to bite you, but once that road opens up, it's made for the VFR. Amazing sweepers, some technical stuff, and it's about 15 miles long.

Quite a crowd at the gas station Friday morning 1/2 way to Push Mountain.

gallery_23869_7018_1019633.jpg

After running Push Mountain (another one not to miss here) it was Lunch at Angler's. Adam and Leslie shared one of Arkansas' best features: Dessert.

Friday Night Burgers!

gallery_23869_7018_194316.jpg

I didn't take a single photo Saturday. Shame on me.

Sunday however, there was a good ride down to 123 again, then off to Ozone for the Burger Barn for lunch. I've been told it's pretty good, and it lived up to the hype. Probably the best hamburger I've had in Arkansas. That's pretty high praise as EVERYWHERE has good hamburgers.

All told, for me it was one of the most enjoyable weekends I've had in motorcycling... (aside from a story about a hooker at the previous evening's fire... sorry about that.) ;-)

'Nuff said... this is the "intermediate group leader's" rear tire after this weekend. It was NEW Wednesday.

Oh yes...

I did clean my wheels. They look about the same. :goofy:

There is just something counterintuitive about putting my motorcycle on a boat with no gunwales, bow, or transom...nice photos though.

Too bad we missed the Burger Barn...I was too busy off-roading the ST :goofy:

Adam needs to cheer up...

Beautiful girlfriend, gorgeous weather, nice bike, great roads...

no reason to be grumpy...

Saturday morning bikes at the ready for riding out...

gallery_19432_5583_819245.jpg

Hwy 123 pit stop for...

A) Nature call

B) Grinning and high fiving

The happy couples

gallery_19432_5583_926719.jpg

Hey! I want to be in at least one... thanks Leslie!

Round 1 of Push Mtn complete... U-turn, "Let's do that again!"

... and no Russ, there's not a helicopter...

At Cody's in the town of 56, Arkansas... no not a population of 56, the town is called "56"

(Btw...there actually are 60 people that live there...)

Our rootin' tootin' snortin' waitress had a thing for Gloryracing... she broke out the mop head and did her Cher impersonation singing, "I got you Babe..."

gallery_19432_5583_925473.jpg

...and I may or may not have licked the blue plate clean of delicious banana cream pie!

Nice little shade tree outside in Cody's parking lot on a beautiful day... must have been high 70's, maybe low 80's

gallery_19432_5583_457537.jpg

At this point the couples peeled off to return to the Hub while Nick, Rod, and myself had a few more roads to shred... After finally passing the H-D parade we got to business... Hwy 9 was a particularly tastey bit of 20 miles of non-stop curves... once again so good we had to turn around and do it again!!!

As we started to wrap up our ~300 mile day of beautiful Arkansas riding Officer Woodward was kind enough to remind us to slow down so we could enjoy the beauty of his fine State...

gallery_19432_5583_176219.jpg

Rod has assumed the position and is ready to take one for the team...

... fortunately, Officer Woodward is a gentleman and quite possibly knows Randall at the Hub... so he gave us a warning, a brief lecture, and sent us off with a smile

Sunday arrived and it was time for some of us to ride back home...

My old friend Rod has a thing or two to show the BMW riders club about how to tour...

You gotta love a S1000RR with maps and directions in ziplock bags taped to the tank! That deserves an award...

along with putting almost 450 miles of twisty roads in the saddle of this bike on Friday with 3 broken ribs on the mend!

gallery_19432_5583_1051891.jpg

Heading back to the St Louis area we took 7 to 14 to 125 to get to Peels Ferry across Bull Shoals Lake... the views from 125 on the ridge looking down into the valleys and lakes are spectacular. I thought of stopping to snap a few pics but the free ferry runs on a 45 minute loop and I didn't know how we were time wise...

I figured if we had time before the next ferry we would double back and get a some scenic shots... Turns out the crew on the ferry heard our bikes and were waiting for us at the dock to pull on so they could pull out.

My trip to the Hub was solo but my return trip was with a new ride buddy...

Russ & Marshall on the Peels Ferry

We had to refuel on the MO side and were directed by a gentlemen on the ferry trailering a nice Lund bass boat to head a few miles up the road...

Found the gas station / Post Office / Pizza Parlor / General Store for Protem MO right where he left it ...

gallery_19432_5583_821269.jpg

We continued on 125 to 160 to 19 and stopped at Ruby's T&T Cafe in Eminence, MO in time for a tasty Sunday buffet, or in my case... a yummy T&T burger with fried zucchini squash... why do burgers during a ride taste so damn good?!?

gallery_19432_5583_38410.jpg

obligatory food shot for Skuuter and Dutchy

For those keeping score... or future reference to riders in the STL area... we continued on 19 which is an awesome road full of great sweepers with good sight lines and forests and scenic waterways... I think we passed through 2 National Forests and 1 National Scenic Waterway during our return trip... State Road "A" was next and it could be amazing if they resurfaced it. Periodically there would be stretches of 3 - 4 turns with fresh asphalt and it was awesome!

So it went... A - 72 -KK - 32 - DD - C -P -8 (High St) - 185 - T - A - 47 - 30 - N - O - F - FF - 109 (Eatherton Rd) and you're back in civilization! All these roads are good to great. 185 for the section we rode is pretty straight with big hills but further North there is a stretch of 185 that is "G1" road and is a great bit of road.

Aside from a bee getting inside my leathers and stinging me on my left collar bone while on 47 it was a perfect ride!!!
