douglasthecook
Once the subframe is complete, please post up pics where you stashed everything like the fuel pump, R/R, ECU tec, as this is something that I'm still working on my 4th Gen, and could use some ideas!!! Looks good so far!!!

Beck
The cush drive deletion must have eliminated quite a bit of unsprung weight at the back. How much weight was eliminated? I'm also wondering, wouls there be any negative effect on the output shaft bearing and seal life when the cush drive is deleted on a bike? I could imagine that the drive shock/stress on those would be increased somewhat. Beck 95 VFR

Member Contributer Burns Posted September 26, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted September 26, 2012 LOVE to see the numbers when you are done. what is the wheel from, or did you do a Triumph hub conversion?
Member Contributer slo1 Posted September 27, 2012 Author Member Contributer Share Posted September 27, 2012 Dutchy, do you have a spare Akra exhaust ? That would be awesome :) Wheel is Marvic rc30 5.5" and I think it was 7 lbs. The front is the match, in a 900rr front end. So far the Axle went from 7 lbs to 5.5, but the Cush and sprocket went from 7.5 lbs to 1.5 ;) There will be a little more stress on the output shaft with no cush, but this won't be my touring bike. The 99 800 is for that. The RC30, NC30, NC35, etc all came from Honda with no cush drive. Subframe went from 10.3 lbs to 2.7 lbs more to come
