Member Contributer ki-speed Posted July 31, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted July 31, 2012 Bought this 8-spoke rim approx. 4 years ago. Previous owner had cleaned it up and had it professionally powder coated. It has never been on my bike. So for the up-coming Summit (2012) I thought what better time than the meet to mount it up (with a new Mich. PP). See you all at the Summit. Mark (ki-speed). Member Contributer Axel_7 Posted July 31, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted July 31, 2012 Mark i think you should put a bike lock just on the tire./... You are going to be having all us sitting in the parking lot drooling over this. PS. Does Michelin paint the name yellow on some PP tires? or did you do it yourself? You are going to be having all us sitting in the parking lot drooling over this. PS. Does Michelin paint the name yellow on some PP tires? or did you do it yourself? I (my wife) painted the letters using a paint pen (see link below). The paint pens I used before (sold by Harley Davidson) stayed on the tire 5-6000 miles, but they are no longer available. Found these and they look the same. http://www.uchida.com/p-27-decocolor-acrylic.aspx You want Yellow 315-5. Thanks, Mark
Member Contributer didit Posted July 31, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted July 31, 2012 For a minute there I thought you were offering up an 8 spoke for the SumSum prize pool! That would have been fabulous. Of course, just seeing it on your bike will be swell too. Ya . . . . swell. I'll see it in 2 weeks.

Bought the rear 8-spoke approx. 5 years ago via seller on ebay. Just now using it for the first time. I believe the 8-spoke rears are off of 3rd or 4th gen VFR's (someone correct me or confirm this).
