Seb's 2012 Ride & Eat No. 1

SEBSPEED

Recommended Posts

In honor of the many varied eateries to be found in the area, and my new found love of amazing BBQ, my first organized ride of 2012 will not be a Burger Run.

Instead, please join me on June 30th for a lively jaunt around the back roads of the Catskills with a pause for lunch at the soon-to-be infamous Cha Cha Hut BBQ. They have something for every meat lover and vegetarian dishes as well.

If your idea of fun involves strafing corners and munching on slowly smoked turkey, brisket, ribs, or pork, well then - you'll totally regret not coming!

Plan to meet at 10am at Exit 21 Park & Ride lot off the NYS Thruway(I-87), kickstands up at 10:30. Gas/air/convenience store available within seconds of the exit.

We'll ride for a couple hours, enjoy a delicious lunch and then? More fun and/or your ride home await...

Please post here if you plan on coming!

Oh eating.....I really loved to eat, but lately, I noticed it's just not the same anymore......Gosh, I only ate 5 eggs benedicts during out father's day brunch with the family yesterday....and I did not even have a beer this time!

Going to Vegas to do the Bellagio Casino Buffet in a couple of weeks. better get ready for that one!

But riding and eating isn't much fun eaither when my leathers and back/kidney protector suddenly gets tight on the bike after lunch!

Cha Cha Hut BBQ was amazing at the Catskills fall ride. Even their South Carolina mustard based sauce was pretty good, and not just good for a New Yorkers attempt.

If you are in the area you really need to go.

It's on my calendar. I'll lead a separate group if there are more than 7 - 8.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE burgers(although yours is a bit mch there...). I will do a burger run this year too.

This BBQ place is really awesome, a lot of their stuff is better than any burger.

Ok, Thats not me and that giant size burger is not something I would ever try to eat.

This guy sitting across from me was trying to finish this monster, he was unable to get even half of it down.

I've just been waiting for a good post to stick this picture into.

A full rack of regrets apparently.

Brian, it would be nice to have a large group. But, if it's just you, me, and the one other person I know is coming, we will have a blast.

Nothing quite like a little Chili & Chipseal.

Well, having no joy in the job hunt in the ATL area so I may as well ride up and see if anyone is hiring in the Catskills....
