does the rear master cyl get hot at all?

I do not believe so. I don't have technical data but would love to compare some actual temp readings with an OEM setup. I do have my leg sitting right there and do not notice heat. It's my opinion that the right side plate on the 5th gen is more about aesthetics than function. When you look at how the OEM brake lines are routed right next to the engine and down along the exhaust, there's ample heat saturation happening anyway.

I haven't boiled the fluid out of it yet or baked the paint off the master cylinder :) Thanks for asking your question and if I get an opportunity to get some measurable data, I will be sure to post.

Great job! I have had a 6th gen rear sub frame for a year done nothing.

reagarding the rear brake and your excellent re-engineering of, did you consider mounting the 6th gen footpegs and mounting "buns" on the 5th gen frame?

I never got my hands on a set of 6gen rearsets etc in order to see just how hard it would have really been. From the photos I studied, it didn't look easy. Lots of pros and cons either way. Riding with some 6gen friends today and will have to look at that harder.
