Up Side Down Fork

Does anyone have experience with the installation of an Up Side Down Fork. As a Fireblade Fork, for example?

I Have a VFR800 VTEC RC46/2 and like to change the fork.

I don't think upside down forks on a pre veefalo VFR are a good idea:

(that just made me cry a little)

Welcome, there are a lot of threads on the subject, I think the complete Fireblade (CBR929/954) front end are the most common and are a direct bolt on since the steering head bearings are the same as the VFR, you just have to think about the position of the fork tubes in the triples to account for trail. This is what I used on my '95 and was fairly straight forward. For my next project I'm fitting a 954 triple with a '06 R1 forks/wheel/brakes but for this I'm having to space the wheel 2mm on each side because the triple is 4mm wider than the R1 triple

Good luck

It's good to know that even upside down (or is that down under) the 5thgen maintains perfect balance under highway conditions.

Pretty cool effect with the shadow too.

Shame about the forks.

Don't worry, new friend. Dutchy can help you. He's from the Lowlands and gets his kicks riding on top of dikes and looking in people's bedroom windows.

Are you sure it's not VFR upper bearing and CBR929/954 or RC51 SP-1 lower bearing ? That's the way it was on my '99 VFR800.

I think the guys over at All Balls have done a couple of bearing replacement kits for people putting inverted forks on their VFR's.

+1. If you type " www.vfrd.com: " and then what you're searching for, google will limit the top results to those on VFRD
