Member Contributer doubled Posted February 10, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted February 10, 2011 Open end. You have bar ends right? Yes, thank you. I noticed on the Pro Grip 719 that it looked like there was an opening for a screw on the closed end version, so I wanted to double check with you guys. Guest
ProGrip 714 - Yes, the "Rally Grips" that are probably intended for dual sports. I got hooked on them back when I had El Grande Bandito - the B-12 Bomber Vibration Machine. Large diameter & a bit of squish without loss of road feel & feedback. They're going on with the new LSL bar kit... along with an NEP cruise that will work, unlike my Throttlemeister!
MRChickhabit
Pro Grip 714 Dual Sport Grips http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/192/19546/ITEM/Pro-Grip-714-Dual-Sport-Grips.aspx?WT.ac=Recently_Viewed I had these on my 1982 honda cm450 for almost 5 years (she blew up on the freeway) the 714s give me NO fatigue, no pain, and feel great. they aren't open ended, but a knife fixes that. with a little glue they fit nice and snug on my fifth gen. Member Contributer BusyLittleShop Posted July 9, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted July 9, 2011 The BLS method of removing grips without destroying them... 1)slip a rat tail comb under the grip... 2)trickle alcohol down the length of the gap created by the comb... 3)remove comb and twist the grip to work the alcohol in between grip and throttle barrel... Best grip I found is Spider Grips... Spider Grips feature durable variable density elastomers, patent pending shaped boundary layers with isolated secondary layers, energy dispersing flanges, and a multi-faceted geometric surface area. Spider Grips are manufactured in Taiwan and distributed by Pit Bull. Ride with Spider Grips and you'll feel less vibration, which in turn means less fatigue. You can give up the death grip hold, so you won't get arm pump and you'll be able to ride longer. Special grip material works great, even when wet. Sold at Pit Bull... http://www.pit-bull....ode=spidergrips

I just installed Koso heated grips and they are just the right diameter. I'll slip Grip Puppies over them for long rides (for comfort). Knife - how are the Koso grips holding up? -speedball
