Dang Yoshi...

Is that a 929/954 rear set with caliper, bracket, hose and master cylinder?

Have we been bidding against each other? I got mine in this past week...

Nope. It's a set of woodcrafts + goodies from a 675.

Finances dictated a conservative off season

Got the VFRness and Motovation sliders installed and tossed on some new rubber. Fluid changes will be this week then just chomping at the weather...

Did procure a set of Racetech 1.0 springs for cheap, but will hold until I get a solution for the rear before getting those in.

Dubious Chinese Pazzo Look A Like Levers

Brake pads all around

Steering head bearings

PAIR block off

Stock size rear sprocket

PC2 & 02 Elims

Clean out switch pods and regrease

clean electrical connectors and apply dielectric grease

Yesterday I started with this:

post-1632-0-86822000-1300565848_thumb.jp

Drained coolant (new crush washers @ $2 each :( )

Replaced the t-stat o-ring (and greased it this time)

new coolant + an ounce or two of Water Wetter - Knock wood no leaks

Added tank bolt mounted ram ball (I had some 40mm cap head screws from when I used to make mirror extenders, so I used them)

post-1632-0-89556400-1300565862_thumb.jp

Cleaned the forks and calipers

Washed the tupper ware (still off bike)

Cleaned and re-oiled the air filter

Cleaned the switch pods with contact cleaner and regreased

Rode the CHonda around a little (oh, wait, that's not maintenance).

Left to do:

Shorten chain (waiting on the chain tool)

Change oil (need to go to Wal*Mart and pick up oil, going to use a bosch filter this time)

wax plastic and tank

reassemble the body work

Figure out what the extra screws nuts and bolts are for.

Almost done!

You're way ahead of Cornercarver! I don't think he's going to allow me over anymore. Every time I go to his house more stuff comes off his bike. :laughing6-hehe: There's not much left to take off...

Chain - turns out I was at 108 links with the +3 rear, so I broke the chain for nothing other than learning how to stake a master link - done.

Coolant leaks - Fixed

Tupperware - waxed & back on

Bed in the brake pads ride - check

w000t! I'm done.

Steering head bearings will wait until next year.

Digging the DCPLAL Levers. LOOOOOVING the EBC brake pads!

Well,at this point they're going to be Spring time Mods apparently.

When the time comes that the weather is finally warm enough for me to work in the garage & I'm in the right frame of mind,I'll be installing(or at least trying to install) the following:

-TPX Radar Detector & LED Alert on a Control Mount

-FuzeBlock

-Gear Indicator

-Head Light Switch

-Volt Meter connected to a switch

-Peg Lwr.Blocks

I still have to figure out which colors of wire to get & where I'll use each color.Along with some how determining what length to buy. I do know the different gauges I will need.So I guess that's a start!

As for maitenance:

-Oil change with Mobil 1 Full Syn.10w40 & a K&N filter

-visually check,clean,lube various other things

I've never done much electrical work at all before so it's going to be interesting. Once I get started, which I'm getting anxious about, I feel as if things will go smoothly. Or so I hope. If I remember, I'll take pics as I go along.

Hmm..I still have to make room in the garage to be able to do this work. I guess my XR will have a new home on the patio under a tarp while I do all this. Perhaps the Honda mower as well.

I haven't done anything with my VTEC other than use it for a shelf for parts and tools while I work on other bikes.

I have managed to land a Wilbers triple clicker though, and BR's sending me a spring, so now the suspension at both ends will be top notch... when I get around to putting it in... :comp13:
