Member Contributer toro1 Posted November 24, 2009 Member Contributer Share Posted November 24, 2009 Pretty interesting. We're definitely gonna need some more info. I can't tell exactly how the exhaust is run from that video.
Veefer800Canuck
Pretty interesting. We're definitely gonna need some more info. I can't tell exactly how the exhaust is run from that video. Bloke was having MAP sensor issues due to positive pressure, same as you did. I steered him your way for some advice, hope you don't mind! wera803
I'd rather have a ToroCharger. Too much heat with Turbo's and I've seen way too many of them come apart working at Cummins, which just fills the engine with metal pieces. Member Contributer kostritzer Posted November 24, 2009 Member Contributer Share Posted November 24, 2009 I dunno about this on a VFR, but put this setup into a sub 1500lb car with stand alone engine management and you can have some real fun! SEBSPEED
Can't wait to see this video when I get home from work! Hmm. Would have been nice to wait all day to see a ride video... can't really tell if it does anything besides make noise when it's standing still!
Member Contributer Q-Dawg Posted November 29, 2009 Member Contributer Share Posted November 29, 2009 I was going to go this route, but as soon as I started to research it seriously, Dan came along and wowed us all with the Torocharger. It is such a beautifully engineered system (reasonable price as well: just look at what you get in other car and bike supercharger kits and you'll see), I can't fathom why anyone would want to go and develop their own custom turbo or S/C arrangement. If I decide to go the forced induction route, the supercharger is the way to go if you ask me. Smooth power delivery and pretty darn efficient for a supercharger. Each to their own, though. Turbo set-up is still way cool and I love the sound and feel of the turbo whoosh. I would love to see that bike move.
